Seismicity at South Aegean area in real time – Last 100 automatically detected events by SC3

Disclaimer:

This page provides information for use by seismologists. The information contained is of uncertain quality and should not be reported or linked to from other websites.

The earthquake catalogue in this section is preliminary. It is being created using SeisComp3 Earthquake Monitoring System. Events shown here have not been checked from humans. It is very possible to contain errors at the location or magnitude of the seismic events. It is automatically updated by new parameters and the results can be altered during time. For the creation of this catalogue data from the Laboratory of Geophysics & Seismology of T.E.I. of Crete are being used, along with data from National Observatory of Athens (NOA-HL), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (HT) and other international seismological centers.

Laboratory of Geophysics & Seismology of T.E.I. of Crete does not provide any implicit or explicit guarantee. Any risk derived from the improper use of the data is assumed by the user.

Modified and corrected catalogue of seismic events for the South Aegean Sea is available upon request. For more information please contact Dr. Ilias Papadopoulos (ilias’at’chania.teicrete.gr).
